Bacheng Old Street Museum Cluster

Located in the center region of Bacheng Town, Bacheng Old Street has an area of 47,200 sq m. “Old Street” refers to the stone street which is about 280 meters long and less than 2 meters wide. It is also called “the thin strip of sky” as it becomes narrower at the end of the street. Buildings from Qing Dynasty with white walls and black tiles lie along the riverside, which highlights the style of Jiangnan water town. At Bacheng Old Street, you can both enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, and experience the beauty of traditional culture.

A collection of exquisite museums and cultural studios including Bacheng Historical and Cultural Exhibition Center, Ni Xiaozhou Bamboo Carving Art Gallery, Yumian Pipa Handweaving (Jade-face Chinese Knot) Studio, and Yang Shousong Kunqu Opera Studio, have contributed to developing a vintage street with a profound cultural ambiance in the ancient water town.
