Lu Fang, a prominent artist native to Kunshan, is a representative figure among the first generation of print-makers in New China. His prints are known for their elegance and simplicity, reflecting a unique personal style based on traditional Chinese water-based woodblock techniques. His work mainly depicts the scenery of the Jiangnan region.
The Lu Fang Printmaking Art Museum is located at the entrance of Dayu Bay Commercial Street and spans 2,200 square meters across two floors. The space includes an entrance hall, exhibition halls, and lounge areas, combining functions of art display and educational engagement. The museum houses 516 pieces of Lu Fang’s work in printmaking, original sketches, woodblocks, and ex libris collections in his life.
By hosting exhibitions, printmaking workshops, and cultural exchange programs, the museum plays a key role in promoting Kunshan’s printmaking art, enhancing urban cultural identity, and enriching public life.
